Harbor House
Provides opportunities for low-income people in Oakland to become self-sufficient thru spiritual, educational, and economic programs. Especially good youth programs.
City Team
Runs a recovery program for men with drug and alcohol addictions, while providing hot meals, safe shelter, medical care, showers, and clean clothes to homeless individuals and families in Oakland.

SDN: the SAP Developer Network
This is the primary community Mark is involved in at work (at SAP).  It is fast-approaching one-million members in 120 countries + 100 territories worldwide.  It focuses on developers, architects, and sys admins who work with SAP technologies, such as SAP NetWeaver.
BPX: the Business Process Expert community
This is a newer community at SAP and focuses on business analysts, functional consultants, and others who straddle a line-of-business (LOB) and I.T.  This community is a strategic advantage for SAP and its customers.  After just one year, BPX members exceed 200,000.
TechEd'07
This is the main tech event at SAP.  In 2007, it will host more than 6,000 people in Las Vegas, about 5,000 in Munich and another 5,000 in Bangalore, and then a smaller group in Shanghai.  Tech Tour will hit 50 cities around the world with technology-oriented content, and will touch another 10,000 local attendees in total.
