The Main Attraction = 2005 H-D Road King Classic

The topic here is motorcycling, specifically on Harley-Davidson machines.

The Ultimate Toy

Mark's toy is a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic.  It's his ultimate bike, customized right down to the bolt covers and doo-dads.  Black and chrome, 95-inch big-bore engine, fuel-injected, cruise-control, race tuning kit, removable back rests and luggage rack, detachable windshield, highway bars, dual Rinehart exhaust... sweet perfection.

Mark's previous toy is a 1997 H-D FatBoy

Great Rides

Mark spent two weeks riding thru the Southwest states in 2003.   See pictures from the road and/or read the summary of the  "Halftime Head-clearing Harley Adventure."

In early August 2003, Grant Wilson and Mark had an Excellent Adventure on the Northern California coast and on to Lake Tahoe.

Here are pictures of other, random Harley rides in 2003.  Other adventures are captured in various other photo sets on flickr.

In 2002, three rides were noteworthy:

* Memorial Day weekend ride from Phoenix, Arizona to Sedona and the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.  See pics of the ride, plus pics of hot-air ballooning over Sedona, Arizona, plus pics of the Grand Canyon side-trip.

* In June 2002, Mark was executive sponsor of a ride around the Sun Microsystems campus in Colorado called "Ride to the Sun."  Hundreds of bikes participated, and in a single day we raised $25,000 for children's charities in the Denver/Boulder area.

* July 2002 ride from Charlotte, NC to Atlanta, GA to kick-start H-D's 100th birthday celebration.  This one was Mark+Karen with Grant+Lisa and Simon+Terri.
